The Website - Design & Template Used
We used our studio website template for The Strawberry Studios. It's main feature is the availability - booking calendar and online booking and payment system. Photographers who use the studio can easily check availability without having to phone or play email ping-pong, especially important if they have a client on the phone.
The calendar is completely customisable, days & hours open, hours and days for a higher rate, booking options for extras or taking deposits if required - a fully automated system for booking studio time.
Also has MOTO option for phone bookings.
The booking system is only available to members who have logged in - the option exists to display the availability either publicly or privately.
This uses the hourly booking calendar which can be used for anything rented by the hour, but a daily version of the calendar is available for cottages, B&Bs, guest houses or things rented by the day.

Naturally, Strawberry Studios comes number one for local search - "photography studio harrogate" , and regionally it's working well for yorkshire, next step is to keep tweaking the keywords and adding relevant content to get results for "photography studio hire" - but having said that 90% of potential clients are local and even a London based photographer needing studio time in Harrogate will search for "photography studio harrogate".
Notice how Google has highlighted the relevant search terms in bold in the result titles, descriptions and the URL link to the website page. The content management system we are using has an identical copy that you can edit to get your main keywords into the correct place. Calling your website home page "Home Page" or "Welcome" is worthless.
It's also worth pointing out that Google knows that "photographic" & "photography" and plurals are the same thing.
